Kelly Hot-sbourne!

Kelly O has always had a tough time in the press for her family's antics, drug addiction and publicised break-ups. But a large amount of what's been written about Kel has surrounded her weight. When she took on the challenge of 'Dancing With The Stars' in the US, her life took a tremendous turnaround and Miss Osbourne has shed 50lbs! And it certainly shows in not only the amaze dresses she's been rocking lately, but in her overall confidence.
"I was called fat and ugly in the press almost my entire life. I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self esteem. It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way. I was so angry about the things people said about me. I truly believe it’s the main reason I turned to Vicodin and ended up in rehab three times. I just hated myself"

Her attitude is a million miles away from this now. Even though she struggled through a break-up with fiance Luke Worrall earlier this year, Kelly has moved onwards and upwards with her new bod and new gig on E!'s 'Fashion Police' and performing in the legendary Pussycat Dolls cabaret show (pictured below).
When E! captured the moment she saw the amazing cover for Shape magazine, she said "I can't believe that's me". The new fashionista revealed that she didn't use any fad diets, quick fixes or surgery to achieve her svelte new shape, only exercise and a controlled, high protein diet. She also added, "I hope I can be an inspiration to other women who want to lose weight, it's hard work but if i can do it, so can you"
Good on ya K!

Royalties

Prince William and Kate Middleton today announced that they are officially engaged and gave their first interview on BBC1's 'The One Show'.

The couple have had much speculation bestowed upon their relationship, particularly back in '07 when they briefly split. Luckily the two reconciled and good old Will decided to put a ring on it...and what a ring it is.
Kate has been blessed with Diana's amazing sapphire and diamond ring, which William said was his way of making sure his mother "is close to it all." And it seems the ring made the prince more nervous than the actual proposal, saying "I kept hold of the ring for about 3 weeks, in my backpack, everywhere I went. I knew I'd be in trouble if anything happened to it" I'd imagine so Willy!

So was it a shock to the future princess?  When asked, the bride-to-be said she was "...very surprised and very happy." Prince Will got down on one knee when the couple were holidaying in Kenya with friends last month, and even though the pair said they had discussed marriage before, she had no idea he would pop the question in Africa. They suitably waited to announce the news after Remembrance Day had passed.

It's nice to see a Royal couple so relaxed and genuine during such an intimate interview, and even crack a few jokes. William made a few smirky tongue-in-cheek comments, including how he was "of course a hopeless romantic and the proposal was perfect". It's been compared to that of Charles and Diana's post-engagement interview which seemed awkward and all formality, and when asked if Charles was in love he replied "...if anyone can know what love is" How romantic! Hopefully this generations Prince and Princess shall live happily ever after.
Perhaps Katie Price can can give them some wedding tips?

Marc My Words

'Marc by Marc Jacobs' is one of my favourite collections....and what I mean by that is, I admire his pieces and on the two occasions that I've been to New York, have bought as much of it as I could afford.
His quirky designs and motifs make his basic tee's and accessories just that little bit more special, much like the watch I blogged about previously.

In his recent line, the monochrome pieces really stand out for me. And it seems Miss Pixie Lott may agree, as she's been wearing these loafers, pictured below, non stop. But at $295 (£183) I'd be wearing them with skirts, dresses, leggings...and my bath towel.

Sticking with the black and whites, this lip-print 'Mademoiselle Danger Scarf' (left) retails for   $178 (£110) and is reminiscent of the leopard print Louis Vuitton scarf that was popular among the celeb circle last year!

Lastly, Marc's 'Catty Q Printed Franny Bag' (below) also caught my eye, partly from the name, and partly for the print which is great for winter as it's again - monochrome - but isn't dull with it's stand-out pattern and offers a slightly different design to the normal leopard and zebra print. This retails at $328 (£203).
And if you're lucky enough to be pottering around New York's Bleecker St, take a trip to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store!

She's Not So Sly, That Swift...

There's been a lot of buzz circulating Taylor Swift's new album "Speak Now", or rather, who her inspiration was for many of the tracks,in particular, "Back To December".
Taylor's been quite open about the lyrical content of her new album telling USA Today "It's the first time I've ever admitted guilt in my music" a trait which artists usually steer clear from.
And as for her muse for the song? There's been talk that her name twin Taylor Lautner could be behind the lyrics, whom she dated last year. The country star explained how she had, last year, been in a relationship where the person treated her perfectly, yet she "acted carelessly" with them....seems T-Swift could be regretting it, judging by these lyrics;
"Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine
I go back to December, turn around and make it all right
I go back to December all the time"
Other Hollywood hotties supposedly behind her tracks are Joe Jonas and John Mayer - and she's now rumoured to be getting cosey with Jake Gyllenhaal. Safe to say that if I had the attention Jake-G I wouldn't be acting so "carelessly".

Paramore Bag Their MTV Award!

This years MTV Europe Music Awards have given Paramore their first award at a televised event. Hayley and her boys have been going strong for seven years and have previously been nominated for awards, including a Grammy in 2008, but they've never managed to take home the gold in front of their peers and fans.
Paramore have had their most successful year to date, since forming back in 2004. Their phenomenal second album Riot! threw the band into the forefront of the 'alternative' scene and their third studio album Brand New Eyes, has done more than cement their status.
The five-some have called this their most collaborative album yet. Its predecessors were predominantly written by singer, Hayley Williams and bassist, Josh Farro, while Brand New Eyes is the result of the band exploring different sounds as a collective. Farro said of the acoustic track on the album
"Misguided Ghosts is just finger-picking and that's not really Paramore's sound but for some reason it works," he continues. "I don't think it would have fit on RIOT! at all, but it's definitely the perfect song for this album."
The risk obviously paid off and the November ceremony saw Hayley accept the bands award; (debuting some fierce pink hair may I add)
"I hope my mom's Tevo'ing this...We have never won an award on TV before, thank you so much! It's by the grace of God our band is still together 7 years later, thank you so much to all our fans, you've kept us going, you've kept us so strong-we love you so much....Wow....So I guess, here's to 7 more years, let's do this!"

   Yes...lets!
